How we compare brand pricing
Most manufacturers do not publish a stable Canadian MSRP for contractor-installed heat pumps. Our pages therefore distinguish equipment-only dealer prices from installed prices and project prices. Typical central ducted installations can span roughly $6,000–$13,500, while premium cold-climate whole-home projects commonly reach about $14,000–$18,000 and can exceed $20,000 when electrical, ductwork or backup heat is added.
Warranty comparison matters
A “10-year warranty” can mean very different things. We separate parts, compressor, labour and registration/dealer conditions. Some brands offer stronger registered coverage or dealer-added labour plans; others require certified installers for their longest term.
Rebate eligibility is not brand-wide
Canadian rebate programs commonly qualify the exact outdoor unit + indoor unit or air-handler combination. Always verify the matched system and current program list before assuming a brand qualifies.
